London Wedding Band - FAQs

How much space do you need?

We can comfortably play within a 5 x 3 meter space, or 4 x 2 if the venue is particularly short on space. We’ve adapted our set up to play in marquees, busy pubs, lively clubs, spacious wedding venues (even a rocking boat!) We will always ensure we can play to the best of our ability with the space provided.

How is it best to time things?

The main point of contact of both the client and the artist will arrange all the timings for the event well in advance so you have nothing to worry about on the day.

We advise that we are allowed at least an hour to set everything up and sound check, as well as an hour at the end of the night to pack down and ensure we have all of our gear packed away and accounted for.

Can I pick the bands playlist?

We’re more than happy for you to select any songs from our repertoire that you feel will give you and your guests the best possible evening, however we would appreciate it if we could arrange the order of the set.

As for weddings, we are more than happy to play any song of the bride and grooms choosing for their first dance even if it is not on our repertoire. If there are any songs you do or don’t want played then we advise you let us know prior to us arranging the sets for the event.

Where will you travel to?

We have the means to travel anywhere in the UK and are also willing to travel internationally.

Can I see you play live?

We regularly gig around West London mainly, you can find all information about our upcoming gigs on our Facebook page.

Will you learn our special song?

Of course, we strive to tailor our entertainment to you as best we can. Please note that as a four piece we are limited to what we will be able to achieve if the song you request has any orchestral parts or specific instrumentation.

We will however, be willing to play along with any backing tracks that you provide us with IF given to us with enough time to practice with prior to the event.

Is the video on your website a true reflection of the band?

Absolutely.

All members of Ignite are exceptional musicians that perform in live environments on a weekly basis.

Are you able to DJ in between sets?

We currently do not offer a DJ service, we do however offer a series of playlists to which we can tailor in any songs you would like played in between our live sets.

Can we make DJ requests in advance to my event?

You can request specific playlists or songs as long as this is provided prior to the event, we cannot purchase music for clients due to additional costs.

We are also more than happy to play any music from the clients iPod, iPhone, mac etc through our PA system.

Can we use your sound system for speeches?

You’re more than welcome to use our PA for any speeches or announcements.

What equipment do you use?

Ignite have an vast array of some of the best equipment to create the best sound possible suitable for all venues.

Bass - Fender precision American P bass, TC electronic speaker and marker bass head
Drums - Pearl kit, shine custom snare, zildjain K custom cymbals, AKG mics.
Guitar - Ibanez am93 and a 8080 valvestate Marshall amp
Vocals - Sennheiser e935 microphone

Do you have lights?

We currently do not have a lighting rig.

How long do you play for?

We would usually play 2 x 60 minute sets, we can also provide 3 x 45 minute sets if the client desires.

We have a varied repertoire to keep your event fresh and exciting! From smooth soul to full out dance floor fillers, Ignite have it all covered!

What time do you start and finish?

We would usually kick things off around 8/8:30, then finish with the final hour around 10pm.

However we’re completely flexible with this and are happy to start earlier or later.

How long do you take to set up?

We can be set up and sound checked ready to get things started within an hour, this is assuming that we can unpack our kit with relatively easy access to the performance venue.

Can I provisionally book you?

No, sorry!

What if the band split up before my event?

As professional musicians, any commitments we make to our clients prior to such an unlikely occurrence will still be a priority to all band members, meaning we will do our best to find a suitable replacement or do the gig as originally planned.

Can my sisters/bosses/daughters dog sing with your band?

Audience participation is always great fun for both the band and the audience so we’re more than happy to have you up on stage with us!

We do however, request that this is arranged before we start playing or in between sets to avoid any disasters!

What will the band wear?

We usually like to keep things sleek and stylish with the band in all black and our singer usually in a different colour.

We’re happy for our clients to suggest any colour preferences or attire (e.g. ties, suits, dresses etc) as long as it doesn't prohibit our performing or isn’t too revealing!

Does the band have PAT and PLI certificates?

We have both fully up to date PAT and PLI certificates.

As a band we’re not only are we all at the top of our game musically, but we also bring an exciting vibe to any gig we play, guaranteeing you and your guests a care free and memorable occasion!

How much does it cost to book the band?

Our usual rate is £1,048 including VAT for 2 x 60 minute sets but this may vary on the time of year/type of event.

Can we see some previous client testimonials?

As we are new to Alive Network, we currently don’t have any client testimonials just yet! When we do they'll be added here

Does Ignite have any specific requirements?

All we ask is that we have somewhere for us to change and that we are provided with food and drink when we’re at the venue.

What type/size venues are you able to play at?

We have played in all kinds of venues, from private residencies, marquees and intimate pub/club gigs, to cruise ships and larger halls.

How loud will the band be?

Ignite are a lively and energetic band that are no stranger to a large crowd looking for an equally energetic and lively evening, which of course requires a big sound which our PA systems can comfortably provide.

However we can also provide your event with an upbeat and soulful set to keep you and your guests entertained without overpowering anyones conversation.

What is the band power requirement?

Minimum of 2x13amp mains sockets

Do Ignite offer any additional services?

As well as an energetic and memorable full band experience, Ignite offers a more relaxed duo of guitar and vocals for smaller receptions and entertainment throughout the day leading up to the main band set later on.
